Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data SunOverseas collects through this website, why, how long we keep it and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We collect only what we need to answer your enquiry, and we do not sell your data.
Who is responsible for your data?
SunOverseas, SCO-23, Krishna Mandir Road, Model Town, Ludhiana 141002, Punjab ("SunOverseas", "we") is the data fiduciary for data collected on this website.
What do we collect?
- Enquiry form: name, phone or WhatsApp number, city, your interest, service, preferred country, level, NEET status, whether you are the applicant or a parent, email (optional) and your message.
- WhatsApp, phone and email: what you choose to share with us when you contact us.
- Technical data: a hashed form of your IP address, kept for up to one hour to limit spam, and a security cookie that protects the form.
- Analytics: we do not currently use analytics cookies.
Why do we use it?
- To reply to your enquiry and give the advice you asked for, based on your consent.
- To prepare your application if you become a client, under a written service agreement.
- To keep the website secure and free of spam.
Where is it stored and who sees it?
- Enquiries are sent by email to our business mailbox, hosted by Hostinger. The website itself does not store your enquiry.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is used by a person; Cloudflare processes technical data for this.
- The map showing our office is provided by Google Maps. When it loads, Google receives technical data such as your IP address and may set its own cookies.
- We share your data with embassies, universities, test providers or licensed partners only when needed for your application and with your agreement.
- We never sell your data or share it for marketing by others.
How long do we keep it?
Enquiries that do not become clients are deleted from our mailbox within 24 months of our last contact. Client files are kept for as long as required for the service and by law, then deleted.
Your rights
- Ask what data we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correct or update your data.
- Withdraw consent and ask us to delete your data, unless we must keep it by law.
- Nominate a person to exercise your rights if you are unable to.
- Complain to our grievance officer, and to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied.
Children
If the applicant is under 18, a parent or guardian should fill in the form. We contact the parent or guardian before giving advice.
Cookies
We use one strictly necessary cookie (so_form) to protect the enquiry form from misuse. It contains a random value and is deleted when you close your browser. Google Maps may set its own cookies when the map loads.

We update this policy when our practices or the law change, and show the date of the last update below.
