IELTS coaching in Ludhiana: Academic and General Training
We coach IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training in classroom batches at our Model Town, Ludhiana office. Every course covers all four modules – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking – with timed mock tests and individual feedback on your writing and speaking. Regular, weekend and one-to-one options are available, and you can attend a free demo class before you join.
Academic or General Training: which IELTS do I need?
| Your goal | Test usually needed |
|---|---|
| University or college study abroad | IELTS Academic |
| Professional registration, for example nursing | IELTS Academic, where the regulator accepts IELTS |
| Canada PR through Express Entry | IELTS General Training (Academic is not accepted) |
| Australia or New Zealand skilled migration | IELTS Academic or General Training, as the visa allows |
| UK visas that need a Secure English Language Test (SELT) | IELTS for UKVI or IELTS Life Skills, depending on the visa |
How is the IELTS test structured?
| Module | Time | What it involves |
|---|---|---|
| Listening | About 30 minutes | Four recordings with 40 questions |
| Reading | 60 minutes | 40 questions; Academic and General Training use different texts |
| Writing | 60 minutes | Two tasks; Task 1 is a chart or diagram description (Academic) or a letter (General Training) |
| Speaking | 11–14 minutes | Face-to-face interview with a certified examiner |
Each module is scored from 0 to 9 in half bands, and the overall band is the average. Speaking may be on the same day as the other modules or up to a week before or after.
What does our IELTS course cover?
- A starting assessment, so we know your current level in each module.
- Question types, strategies and time management for every module.
- Writing tasks marked with written feedback against the public IELTS band descriptors.
- Speaking practice in interview format, with feedback on fluency and coherence, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.
- Full-length timed mock tests on paper and computer formats.
Booking the official test
In India, IELTS is delivered by IDP and the British Council, on paper or on computer. You book and pay the test fee directly with them. We help you pick a date that leaves time for a retake before your university or visa deadline.
What we will not promise
Nobody can promise an IELTS band. Your result depends on your starting level, your practice and your performance on the day. After the starting assessment we tell you honestly how far you are from your target.
